Dr. John A. Yarbrough, an Alabama native, is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy–Immunology. Dr. Yarbrough completed undergraduate studies at Mercer University and received his MD degree from the Medical College of Georgia.
He is a member in good standing of the American Medical Association, The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and other medical organizations. He was re–certified by the American Board of Allergy-Immunology in 1997 and in 2007.
He served as president of the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society of Georgia from 2007 to 2009.
The practice also own and operate The Northeast Georgia Research Center, LLC. The Center is a private practice clinical research center founded in 1990 by Dr. John A. Yarbrough and Dr. Michael J. Maloney, Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology.
The mission of the Center is to provide quality research through educating the community about the benefits of pharmaceutical studies while providing a continuity of care for allergy and asthma patients of all ages. Our research staff has completed clinical trials for many respected companies including, but not limited to, Pfizer, Altana, Sanofi–Aventis, Glaxo and Merck.
Dr. Amy Whitmire Boyd, a Gainesville native, is board certified in Pediatrics and recently completed her Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology. She completed her undergraduate degree at Davidson College and received her MD from the Medical College of Georgia.
She is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
